Swimsong Sunday Brunch

What's the best way to spend a Sunday during the monsoon season?  Pool-side cocktails at C'est La Vie's Swimsong Sunday Brunch of course!  For just Rs. 1300 for non-members and Rs. 700 for members, there will be all you can drink martinis and beer, music, and a delicious brunch menu that will include Mushroom Capuccino, Prawn Bisque, Rocket & Cottage Cheese Salad, Red Snapper in Lemon Butter Sauce, Prawn & Saffron Rissotto , Grilled Cheese Stakes, Moussaka, and a number of delicious deserts...  Just make sure to wait a full 20 minutes before making use of the rooftop pool.  

Festivities for this week's Swimsong Sunday Brunch kickoff at 12 noon.  At 3:30 Tough on Tobacco will begin their live set, and a DJ will keep the party going on into the night.  Sameer Malhotra will be the featured emcee host.  Come early, you won't want to miss a minute!

Pool Side Martini Brunch

A diverse and intimate group gathered this Sunday to sip pool-side martinis and escape the onslaught of monsoon rains.  The drinks -- kiwi, lychee, and mango martinis, as well as frothy glasses of Foster's -- were flowing as people lounged around, and partook in heaping helpings of the food that were as diverse as the people in attendance (the dim sum, garlic hummus, and fudgey chocolate brownies proving to be overwhelming hits).  The majority of the brunch was populated by an expat crowd, but some locals were in attendance as well, and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves no matter which group they subscribed to.  Though most people restricted themselves to dry land, one adventurous gentlemen made use of the pool, exclaiming "This is great!" and tossing a beach ball at everyone who walked by.  

This brunch officially launched what will be a weekly tradition at C'est La Vie.  The Swim Song Brunch will be held this Sunday, 2 August, 2009, beginning at 12 noon.  Stay tuned for more updates...
